Here's how her birthday went. Matt and I went to the hospital around 8:30am to be induced. At that point I was 39 weeks and 5 days so very close to my due date. My sister Melissa flew in to be with Connor and Briella while we were at the hospital and to help out. It was awesome having her here, I had so much peace of mind. Thank you Melis!
So we got there around 8:30am, got checked in, changed, etc. They started the pitocin around 9:30am and broke my water around 11am. The contractions started to pick up at that point but I was still only measuring 3cm dialated (that's what I came in at). At that point I was getting discouraged and thinking I was not going to be having a baby during the day (that was my goal - have a baby during the day! Connor was born just after midnight and Briella was born at 9pm.) Well the morning came and went and around 1pm I got an epidural, the pain was getting very uncomfortable. My body seems to relax a lot more with the epidural because things picked up a little bit. My nurse, Jen, checked me again and said I was at 5cm....seriously! Again discouraged. Well she had me try different positions to help things along and that seemed to do the trick. Around 2:45 she checked me and said I was at 6cm but while she was putting some info in the computer I felt Regan shift/move/do something that was painful and her heart rate accelerated also at the same time. Jen (nurse) left and a few minutes later I was feeling a lot of pressure and I told Matt to go get Jen. She came back in and checked me and said, 'Whoa, there's her head! We're having a baby!' (It's 3pm) She texted my doctor and told him to come right now....he came running, literally! Called a few other people to get the room ready and before we knew it Regan was coming. The best part was I didn't even have to push, my body did it all by itself, it was amazing! Regan was born 10 minutes later, healthy and strong!
Afterwards Jen said, 'If you didn't have Matt come get me right then you would have had her on your bed!' Apparently Regan was ready to come right then!!! Everything went great! My doctor and nurse were AWESOME! We are so grateful for them and that they took such good care of me and Regan. We are so blessed and grateful to our Heavenly Father for such a wonderful sweet little girl! Here are some pics of the cutie girl!

Yay congrats Booth family! You look fantastic Shersti! She is adorable!
so cute. I've gotta come meet her, and the other 2 I've never met, including Matt. Gee, where have I been?! so glad you're close enough to do that now:) It'll be a couple of weeks 'cause haylee's here and we're doing wedding stuff and then we all go down to UT. So, sometime after the 4th....just don't move on me:)
Congratulations! She is so beautiful and I'm so glad everything went so well. Your family is so sweet-I can't believe how big Conner and Briella are, and all of them look so much alike! Sure wish we were there to meet her in person-and just to be with you all. Miss you guys-wishing you much sleep!
I was looking for pictures about a week after you had her and then I guess I haven't been to your blog for awhile. Oops! I LOVE these pictures! She's so, so beautiful, Shersti!! And I'm sure she's changed a lot. :) Man, we miss you guys!
